Dr. Alison Curdt

Dr. Alison Curdt is a dual PGA master and LPGA master professional. She has more than three decades of golf competition background and competed in eight LPGA Tour majors to date. Owner of "Alison Curdt Golf" and director of instruction in Los Angeles, she has earned countless teaching and professional awards such as the 2025 Tom Addis III Professional Development award, 2019 SoCal PGA Golf Professional of the Year, 2018 SCPGA Clubfitter of the year, four-time Western Section Teacher of the Year, 2016 SCPGA Teacher of the Year and 2015 LPGA Professionals National Teacher of the Year. She's been selected as an LPGA Top 50 Teacher multiple times and was inducted into the SoCal PGA Teaching Hall of Fame.

 

Dr. Curdt contributes to many golf publications, has been featured on tv and has been recognized on "best teacher" lists. She is currently on the Golf Digest Best in State list (California) and was selected as a Top 50 Teacher in America. Dr. Curdt is also a clinical sport psychotherapist utilizing EMDR and brainspotting to help athletes achieve peak performance and overcome athletic traumas and actively works with clients through her private practice Curdt Performance Therapy. She served as the LPGA Professsionals National Vice President and the 42nd President, and first female president, of the Southern California PGA.

 

Outside of coaching golfer to be their best through the technical and mental aspects of the game, Dr. Curdt enjoys running, watching sports and spending time with her family.

Ken Mengel

Ken Mengel, PT, MPT, CSCS, TPI-F3, FRCms is a leader in physical therapy, sports medicine, and performance training, with over thirty years of experience dedicated to enhancing athletic potential.  Founder of KM Golf Performance, Ken blends his background in rehabilitation with a deep passion for golf, providing athletes with evidence-based, golf specific performance care.

A graduate of Whittier college with a degree in biology, Ken earned his master's in physical therapy from the University of Southern California in 1994.  He went on to direct one of California's largest orthopedic physical therapy and sports medicine practices, where he also led the Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency program.  In academia, he served as a professor of Kinesiology and Clinical Physical Therapy at Western University of Health Sciences and as an adjunct professor at USC's School of Physical Therapy.  His impact has extended globally through his role as an educational consultant for the Chinese Olympic Committee, where he trained and mentored rehabilitation specialist and supported elite athletes.

Since opening his private practice in 2014, Ken has focused on golf-specific performance training.  He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a Titleist Performance Institute Fitness Level 3 Certified professional, and a Golf Digest Certified Performance Trainer.  In recognition of his expertise, Golf Digest named him one of the Best Fitness Trainers in America for 2025-2026.  An active educator and presenter with the Southern California PGA, Ken continues to advance the field by developing coursework and collaborating with top coaches and performance experts.

Dr. Guillermo Escalante

Dr. Guillermo Escalante, DCC, MBA, ATC, CSCS, FISSN is a professor of Kinesiology and Associate Dean of the College of Natural Sciences at California State University, San Bernardino. A scholar in exercise science, sports nutrition, and sports medicine, his research spans supplementation, body composition assessment, physique enhancement and sports injury prevention. He has authored more than 80 peer-reviewed publications and regularly presents at regional, national and international conferences. His expertise has also been sought as a consultant to health, fitness and sports supplement companies, and as an expert witness in sports medicine and nutrition.  Dr. Escalante holds a BS in Athletic Training, an MBA with concentrations in Marketing and Healthcare management, and a Doctor of Science in Athletic training. he is a certified athletic trainer, strength and conditioning specialist, and sports nutritionist. in 2021, he was names one of only 39 fellows of the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) out of 36,000+ members, recognizing his contribution to the field. He currently serves as associate editor for the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, co-editor in chief for the Journal of Fitness, Wellness and Human Performance, and scientific advisor for multiple organizations.

Beyond academia, Dr. Escalante has published extensively in mainstream fitness media, competed as a bodybuilder sine 2000, and coached athletes from beginner to Olympians and professional competitors across major sports. Passionate about lifelong learning, he balances his professional commitments with family, fitness, travel, cooking and creative pursuits such as music and comedy.
